Lauren Brandt

Founder

For over two decades, Lauren Brandt has been a leading figure in the world of Movement and Manual Therapy. As a Master Pilates Instructor, Balanced Body Educator, and Registered Massage Therapist, Lauren's journey is marked by passion, precision, and a deep commitment to helping others feel their best.

Lauren’s passion for Pilates quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit. She developed her own unique teaching style and, as a Balanced Body Educator, she’s now shaping the future of Pilates. Beyond training the next generation of instructors, Lauren contributes to curriculum development and creates essential learning resources, continuously advancing her knowledge of the latest research and techniques to keep her approach dynamic and relevant.

Becoming a licensed Registered Massage Therapist in British Columbia allowed her to develop an intuitive touch and therapeutic expertise. Her passion for education led her to teach as a Clinic Supervisor and Educator of Spinal Orthopedics at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, where she supported and mentored future therapists. This background significantly influenced Lauren's unique teaching style in Pilates, where she makes the complexity of anatomy and biomechanics fun and easy to understand. By simplifying intricate concepts with humour, interactive activities, and creative props, she makes learning engaging and applicable.

Lauren runs Pilates Teacher Training and has a practice in beautiful Victoria, BC, Canada. You can find her on the stunning West Coast of Canada, where her focus remains unwavering: to help people move with greater ease, enjoyment, and confidence. Her passion for movement and bodywork isn’t just a profession; it’s a calling that motivates her to inspire people to feel joyful about their humanity and embrace the movement of their bodies.

Chelsea Wissink

Instructor

After years as an athlete in team based sports, Chelsea found Pilates in 2012 and instantly fell in love with the power of the practice. The continuous journey of exploring and deepening her relationship to the work and within herself is what keeps her engaged and always wanting to learn more.

Chelsea’s passion to help others dive deeper into their Pilates practice brought her down the natural path of becoming an Educator for Balanced Body. Her goal in educating is to support teachers to meet their potential, continue making connections within their own bodies and find their own unique voice to carry them through their teaching journey. Encouraging a curious mind throughout. Chelsea’s teaching style is approachable, supportive and accompanied by a hearty side of laughter and joy.
